For the last ten years the Rijksmuseum has been able to purchase important and rare masterpieces from twentieth-century photography thanks to the support of the multinational law firm Baker & McKenzie.

In Small Wonders, the Rijksmuseum focuses for the first time on the art of carving miniatures with some sixty or so figurines, miniature altars, prayer nuts, monstrances, skulls and other memento mori boxwood pendants.
