Kleurtekening over twee pagina's van een massa Singalezen met fakkels en trommels bij een bamboehek waarachter olifanten rennen. Nr. 2 in de serie. Met opschrift. Onderdeel uit het schetsboek van Jan Brandes, dl. 2 (1808), p. 122-123.

inscription: ‘gärdetsgården ligger först tilreds, och hålena äro grafve, när elefanterna dar öfner äro jagada i skall så blir denna gärdetsgard med storsta snabhet in nom en halffierdels tiena up rest, och alsa äro elefander öfver 1000 mann instängd i lösa kralen, sedan förfölgs de widare med eld tromonar skramlas, skalowar, skatgewär som för.’
