Hut van de chirurgijn op het VOC-schip de Stavenisse

Interieur in matig perspectief van een scheepshut. Het verre punt in de tekening ligt in een te klein getekende scheepskooi met beddengoed en afgeschoten met ruitgordijntjes. Door een patrijspoort is een stuk want zichtbaar. De hut is vrij uitgebreid ingericht. Links hangt een schilderij of prent aan de wand. Daaronder staat een koffieservies. Rechts voor staat een stoel voor een commode. Daarboven hangt een scheerbekken. Rechts van de kooi plankjes met boeken. Op één: VOCM, van de VOC-kamer Middelburg. Met opschrift. Onderdeel uit het schetsboek van Jan Brandes, dl. 1 (1808), p. 8.
