Kleurtekening van een aantal pinangbomen voor de oprijlaan naar het huis van Jan Brandes op zijn landgoed. In de meest rechtse boom klimt een Indonesische man of jongen naar een tak met pinang of arecanoten. Met opschrift. Onderdeel uit het schetsboek van Jan Brandes, dl. 1 (1808), p. 203.

inscription: ‘Pinang boom, zyn tot 60 voeten in myn tuyn geweest. ik had er waarvan de stam, zonder de kruin 50 voet lang waaren, en ½ voet in de diameter van onderen dik, welke een wynig afnam na booven toe.
