Kleurtekening over twee pagina's van elf Europese mannen en vrouwen aan een tafel met een tot slaaf gemaakte vrouw. De staande man rechts in het zwart moet Brandes zijn. Dit vertrek bevindt zich in het grootste gebouw aan de punt van de noodkraal. Van die olifantenkraal is door de deuropening net een stukje zichtbaar. Onderdeel uit het schetsboek van Jan Brandes, dl. 2 (1808), p. 26-27, 142-143 [zelfde gezelschap], 144 [noodkraal].
