Introduction to the dutch
Guided tour
Can the Rijksmuseum's world-renowned collection provide a good introduction to Dutch culture? This tour lets your Dutch students explore this question together with their international guests. By looking at famous artworks they will learn about Dutch art & history while getting to know each other’s culture better.
Program
During this one-hour tour students will discuss things that are often seen as typically Dutch. But the question is how Dutch are these things really? Where did they come from? Are they still typically Dutch, or are they more stereotypes? But also the culture of the international guests will be spoken about. For example, is there also a so called Golden Age in their country?
Students will visit different centuries and will get to know each other via different themes, art works and objects. And of course a stop at Rembrandt’s Night Watch cannot be left out.
