Will your art be displayed in the Rijksmuseum this summer?
From amateurs to professional artists and from young to old, everyone is welcome to send us an original artwork. The Rijksmuseum is looking forward to showing hundreds of works in the exhibition Long Live Rembrandt, which will run from 15 July to 15 September 2019.
Inspired by Rembrandt
The most important condition for taking part is that you take Rembrandt as your inspiration. That inspiration could take any form: a modern version of one of his works, or an ‘echo’ of Rembrandt’s art such as his use of colour, his flair for the dramatic or his mastery of light and shade. From paintings to photographs and from sculptures to entire installations, all genres are welcome.
What do you have to do?
You can send us your online submission between 1 February and 31 March 2019. More information about the submissions procedure will soon be added to this page.
The selection procedure will begin in April 2019. A jury of artists, conservators and educators from the Rijksmuseum will judge the works over several rounds, using criteria such as creativity, technique and originality.
If you have any questions, please send an e-mail to email@example.com.
