Kleurtekeningen van een viertal vissen, geep, platvis, zeekatje en vliegende vis. Met opschriften. Onderdeel uit het schetsboek van Jan Brandes, dl. 1 (1808), p. 230.

• inscription: ‘Coryphaena caerulea ini het lyf van een Kret gevangen, den 30 Julii 1778.’
• inscription: ‘het onderste stuk van de staart is langer dan het boovenste / waare groote van een Vliegende Visch, wat ronder en dikker als een haaring, deze vloog in het schip den 1 aug. 1778 en wierd my present gegeeven door Capt van der Spek op 't schip Holland. Exocoetus volitans.’
• inscription: ‘Een Visch in zyn Ey / oud wyf, platte visch / dit balyntje gaat tot aan destaart / bek van zeekatje ... is wat te groot na ...opositie van deeze visch / Zeekatje Sepia media’
• inscription: ‘Een kleyne Geep, in het lyf van een draader gevonden, een span lang gevangen in julii. Syngnatus pelagicus Ikang joeloeng joeloeng (malydsch)’
