Vrouwenvertrek te Batavia

Voyeuristische inkijk in een vrouwenvertrek in een woonhuis te Batavia. De vrouw des huizes in slaaphemd in kleermakerszit op de grond, bij haar twee tot slaaf gemaakte bedienden, waarvan een met een sirihdoos en een met een dienblad. De vrouw steekt net iets in haar mond en kijkt op naar een dame met waaier die binnenkomt gevolgd door een tot slaaf gemaakte bediende. Achter een bed met klamboe, links een tafel met een maquette of poppenhuis. Door een gordijn rechts steekt de voyeur zijn hoofd naar binnen.
