Chizuko Yoshida (mentioned on object), 1954

Chizuko Yoshida aimed to be a role model for women, demonstrating that one could be both an artist and a mother. When she began making prints, she noticed that women faced challenges in participating in print exhibitions. Consequently, in 1956, she and eight other women founded an association making it possible for women printmakers to exhibit their work annually.
