Kleurtekening van twee vrouwen geflankeerd door tot slaaf gemaakte vrouwen in een woonkamer in Batavia. De Europese vrouw rechts, gekleed in japon, is op bezoek bij de meztizo-vrouw gekleed in een kebaja, Zuidoost-Aziatische dracht. De gehurkte vrouw links houdt een sirihdoos open. Op de achtergrond meer personeel. Onderdeel uit het schetsboek van Jan Brandes, dl. 2 (1808), p. 23.
