Vooraaanzicht in kleur van een stal, een bamboe raamwerk waarin drie olifanten vast zijn gebonden. Bij de stal zijn Singalezen in de weer met touwen. De middelste olifant wordt met water overgoten. Met opschrift. Nr. 11 in serie. Onderdeel uit het schetsboek van Jan Brandes, dl. 2 (1808), p. 130.

inscription: ‘Huru en nylig fången Elfant emellan twänne tame Elefanter blifver fastbunden i dess stall och til kylning med wattn blifver öfvergutit och bestänekt. af se framföre sedan blifva da tama elefanter bort tagen, och så stürden wilda ensam.’
