Kleurtekening over twee pagina's van een bamboehut op palen aan de rand van de losse kraal waarin de olifanten worden gedreven. In de hut staan een aantal heren met steek, pruik en pandjas en dames. Rechts staat een Singalese VOC-dienaar. Met opschrift. Nr. 3 in de serie Onderdeel uit het schetsboek van Jan Brandes, dl. 2 (1808), p. 142-143 (Voor situering zie nr. 1 van serie, p. 144.)
