Model van een gewone dommekracht, versierd met beslag. Het model wordt bediend met een zwengel. Aan de andere kant zit een krik en bovenop een T-vormige krik. Het mechaniek, dat werkt met een wormschroef, is aan het gezicht onttrokken; aan de voorkant zit een kijkgaatje. Aan de zijden twee handvaten.

Entry

Demonstration model of an ordinary jack screw with ornamented mounting. The model is driven with a handle; it has a jack on the other side and a T-shaped jack on top. The mechanism, which works with a worm screw, is hidden from view; there is a peephole at the front. There are two handles at the sides.

This model is probably one of two mentioned by Jochem Pietersz Asmus (1755-1837) as part of his private collection in 1807.3HNA 2.01.29.02 Dept. Marine, Aanhangsel I, inv. no. 20, La. F nos. 17 and 18.
