Vase and Bowl. This type of underglaze blue is called ‘powder blue’. It was achieved by spraying the cobalt pigment through a tube covered at the end with gauze on the unfired piece. The pigment particles were thus unevenly distributed over the surface. The object was then fired and glazed. The result is a lively blue structure with an effect of depth.

    Klokvormige kom van porselein met uitlopende wand en spreidende rand, beschilderd in onderglazuur blauw en bruin. De kom is volledig bedekt met bleu poudré (poederblauw) met een bruine rand. Gemerkt op de onderzijde met een bloem in een dubbele cirkel. Monochroom bleu poudré.
