Ewer

anonymous, c. 1550 - c. 1570

This ewer is made up of three parts. The foot and the body are turned from large chunks of rock crystal, into which the surface decoration was subsequently carved. A different technique was used for the neck and the handle, which were cut from a third single piece of crystal.
