Dish with the Division of Goods from the Parable of the Prodigal Son

In the centre of this dish is a scene from the biblical Parable of the Prodigal Son. It is based on a French series of prints that was much reprinted in the 18th century. The Rijksmuseum has another five dishes decorated with scenes from this same parable. One is displayed further along this shelf.
