A Young and an Old Centaur
anonymous, c. 1750 - c. 1780
These two centaurs –mythological creatures that are half-man and half-horse –are reduced copies of antique bronze statues that were excavated in Rome in 1736. The originals are in the Capitoline Museum in Rome.
