General information

  • These terms and conditions (hereinafter ‘Terms’) apply to the ‘Guess the works by Rembrandt’ promotional competition (hereinafter ‘Competition’) offered by the Rijksmuseum.
  • By participating in the Competition, participants declare that they have read and accepted said Terms. The Competition and Terms are governed by Dutch law.
  • With respect to any matters not covered by the Terms, the decision of the Rijksmuseum will be final and binding.
  • The Rijksmuseum reserves the right to end the Competition or to change the rules, prize, Terms, regulations or information at its sole discretion and without prior notice, and without liability for any form of compensation to the participants and/or winner.
  • Any changes made to the Competition and/or Terms will be communicated.

Participation

  • The Competition is open to participants from 15 July to 21 July 2024, inclusive.
  • Participation in the Competition is open to anyone aged 18 or above
  • Participants in the Competition will not incur any direct costs as a result of their participation.

Competition mechanism

  • Participants must answer the five questions and complete the Competition form to be eligible to win the prize.
  • One winner will be selected.
  • The winner will be selected by way of a random draw from all valid entries. The Rijksmuseum will send an email to the winner informing them of their win. If the winner does not respond within seven days, a new winner will be selected.

Prize

The prize is a ‘Rembrandt package’ with a value of €373.85 comprising the following items:

  • The prize is not redeemable for cash value.
  • The Rijksmuseum will contact the winner personally.

Privacy

The Rijksmuseum will never share a participant’s personal details with external partners or sponsors without permission from the participant. By participating in the Competition, you consent to being contacted by the Rijksmuseum by email in connection with the Competition.
