FAQ for livestreams
If you’ve got a question about one of our livestreams or buying tickets for this talk show, there’s a good chance you’ll find the answer in the FAQ section below.

The livestream will commence when the show starts.

If you can’t hear the livestream audio, please first try to play a sound from another website to check whether your speakers/headphones are working properly. Please also check that you have not muted the livestream audio. If the problem persists, a simple restart of your computer/tablet may resolve it.

No. This is a live event, so it is not possible to rewind or fast-forward the video.

No. It is strictly forbidden to use your device to record the video and/or audio of the livestream. If we become aware of attempts to do this, or to post videos of the livestream online, this may compromise your ability to view or open future virtual events.

You will receive an email with details about how to access the livestream at least one hour before the livestream starts. If it looks like you haven’t received this email on time, please check your spam folder before contacting us.

Probably not. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to cast Vimeo as easily as YouTube or Netflix, for example. We’ve chosen to use the Vimeo platform despite this because of the video quality. It’s not impossible to cast Vimeo, however, and a variety of possible solutions are available.
Although our staff can help you with many things, we are unable to offer technical support for casting. We therefore kindly request that you do not send us emails on this subject.

It is possible to join the livestream after it has started, but just like with other live events, if you join it after the start you will miss part of it.

Please refresh the page in your browser. You will return to the livestream in real time – the show will continue from what is happening at that moment. If the problem persists, please check your Internet connection, any data limitations and the video settings on your device.

Yes. The livestream will be recorded and made available for viewing after the event until 29 August 2021. You can watch the recording via the symposium webpage. After 29 August, it will not be possible to watch this event again.

Yes. Just like if you were attending an event in person, you should buy a ticket for each person viewing the show. Each individual ticketholder will receive an email containing the link to the livestream an hour before the show starts.

Yes. There is a fixed maximum capacity for the number of people able to buy a ticket for the livestream.

Unfortunately not: tickets are non-refundable. However, even if you are unable to be at the livestream itself, you’ll be able to view it until 29 August 2021. We’ll be sending you an email containing a link to do this once the talk show has ended.
