Accessible parking space
There are several disabled parking spaces in the vicinity of the museum. Read more.
Companions
If you are unable to navigate the museum independently, you may bring a companion. Your companion may enter for free. However, they will need a (free) admission ticket and a start time. The start time must be reserved in advance. You can do so here. Select “other valid admission ticket” as the ticket option. The ticket can be picked up at the ticket counter.
Service dogs
Service dogs are welcome in the museum and may accompany visitors during their visit.

Skip the line
Do you have an invisible disability that prevents you from standing in line at the entrance for a long time? Fill out this form to enter immediately.
Lift
There are two entrances with stairs and one entrance with a lift. With your back to Museumplein, the entrance with the lift is on the left. A member of the security team will come to assist you and operate the lift.
Backpacks
Backpacks or oversized handbags are not permitted in the museum. Do you need to bring a bag into the museum for medical reasons? The Information Desk will gladly provide you with a label. This lets security know that your bag is permitted.
Mobility aids
At the information desk, you can borrow wheelchairs, walking frames, walking sticks, strollers and foldable chairs.
Wheelchairs, mobility scooters and balance bikes
The entire museum is accessible to wheelchairs, mobility scooters and balance bikes. We ask visitors using a mobility scooter or electric wheelchair to drive slowly.
Accessibility map
Ask at the information desk for the accessibility map , which shows the locations of lifts, benches, accessible restrooms, etc.
Wheelchair-accessible restroom
Wheelchair-accessible restrooms with a low sink are available.
Changing place
The changing place is a changing room for adults and older children. It features a mobile lift with a sling, a bed, and a sink. There is no toilet available. You may also bring your own sling (with loops). Ask at the Information Desk for the location. We’ll be happy to show you the way.
Sunflower Lanyard
The Sunflower Lanyard is a simple tool that allows you to voluntarily let others know that you have a disability that may not be immediately apparent—and that you might need a helping hand, understanding, or a little extra time. Our staff are familiar with the Sunflower Lanyard. If you don’t have a lanyard but would like one, you can ask for a green-and-yellow lanyard at the information desk. Security will then take extra care to accommodate you.
