Mizuno

Mizuno is an international sports brand founded in 1906 in Osaka, Japan. It has grown into a global player in functional sports. Mizuno Corporation Netherlands represents the brand in the Benelux, focusing on running, volleyball, handball, korfball, hockey, football, judo, and tennis.

This Japanese sports brand sponsors the Amsterdam Marathon, the course of which runs through the tunnel under the Rijksmuseum. Since 2018, the Rijksmuseum has collaborated with Mizuno every two years, in the lead-up to the Marathon, to create a limited-edition running shoe inspired by the collection. The collaboration between Mizuno and the Rijksmuseum is a tribute to Japanese and Dutch craftsmanship, and through joint marketing activities surrounding the Marathon, both parties are reaching a new audience.
