Abstract

Jitka Hanzlová presents her most recent series of photos "Vanitas" in this book. For the first time in her career, she took these pictures of flowers and blossoms in the studio. Carefully lit, the works are depicted in great detail and definition on black backgrounds and are reminiscent of the florilegia of the 16th and 17th centuries. The book is a bibliophile's dream and follows the strict design that Jitka Hanzlová invented with her first legendary book "Die Bewohner".
