Twee modellen van handboren, type avegaar, zonder handvat. Het lange model heeft een beitel op een holle cylinder. Het korte model ziet er uit als een boorschaaf, voorzien van een beitel en een schaaf: de beitel snijdt een cirkel, die er door de schaaf vervolgens uitgeschaafd wordt.

Entry

Two models of hand drills, auger type, without their handle.

The larger model has one bit fitted on a hollow cylinder. The smaller model looks like a rabbet plane, fitted with a small iron blade and a plane; the blade cuts a profile in the wood of which the remainder is then removed by the plane.

According to the inventory1J.M. Obreen et al., handwritten inventory list for items 944 to 1431, 1884, manuscript in HNA 476 RMA, inv. no. 1089, no. 1250. these drills were used for propeller shafts, but the smaller model looks more like a rabbet plane for dowels.

Scale unknown.
