Model of a Made Mast

anonymous, c. 1780 - c. 1840

Ronde mast met achtkantige top en rijbed, onvolledig. De mast zelf bestaat uit zes delen: twee zware delen vormen de mastkoning, met een paar dunnere wangen aan iedere zijde. De delen worden door mastwoelingen bijeengehouden. Een aantal korte planken om de mast heen vormt van voren een plat rijbed en achter een halve achtkant. Dit model kan uiteengenomen worden.

Entry

Construction model of a round mast with octagonal head and furring. The mast itself is made of six parts; two heavy parts form the spindle, with a pair of cheeks on either side. The parts are held together with mast wooldings. A number of short planks encircle the mast, forming a flat furring to the front and half an octagon at the back. The model can be taken apart.
