Gepolychromeerd mallenmodel (stuurboord) van een tweemaster. De huid boven het barkhout is gesloten, zes geschilderde geschutpoorten op één dek. Gewrongen spiegel, hol wulf, gesloten hek, geen zijgalerij; recht roer met vierkante roerkoning. Zeeg bijna vlak, één barkhout en één reehout. Het model heeft twee rusten met alle jufferblokken. Gepiekt rondspant, scherp onderwaterschip. Beide masten hellen aanzienlijk achterover. Schaal ca. 1:40 (afgeleid).

  • De schoenerbrik van 8 à 12 stukken Windhond, lang 26.5 m, werd in 1826-1828 door C. Soetermeer te Vlissingen gebouwd; gebruikt als adviesbrik en afgevoerd in 1850.

Entry

Polychromed wooden half bracket model of the starboard side of a two-masted ship, mounted on a rectangular wooden backboard.

The side of the ship is depicted by ribbands attached to frame moulds. Above the wale the side is planked and painted black. The six shadowed gun ports indicate one continuous gun deck, highlighted by a horizontal white band. The sheer is almost flat. One wale and a sheer rail are indicated. The bow features an empty beakhead. The stern has a round tuck, a hollow counter and a taffrail. Below the stern a straight, square-headed rudder is indicated. The hull is sharply S-bottomed and painted white below the waterline. The position of two masts and the bowsprit is shown in a truncated form. Both masts rake considerably.

The 8- to 12-gun schooner brig Windhond, 26.5 metres long, was built by Cornelis Soetermeer (1782-1842) in Flushing from 1826 to 1828.1J.M.
