Tomb Guardian

With its horn, long ears, fiery eyes, large mouth and sharp claws, this ferocious tomb guardian is terrifying. It is richly and colourfully painted. Such tomb guardians were placed in the graves of noblemen during the Tang Dynasty (618-907). They were thought to repel evil spirits and grave robbers.
