Een glazenwasser staat met zijn rechtervoet op een ladder, waar ook de emmer aan hangt, en zijn linkervoet op de vensterbank, terwijl hij met de linkerhand het raam lapt. In het andere raam staat een jonge vrouw toe te kijken.
