Boilly vervaardigde in 1807 het schilderij 'Un jeu de billard', voorafgegaan door een studie. Het schilderij bevindt zich in de collectie van de Hermitage te Sint-Petersburg (inv.nr. GE 5666), de voorstudie in een Zwitserse particuliere collectie. De compositie is niet identiek aan deze prent, maar wel verwant.
