Target gun

anoniem, 1618

The operator of this heavy target gun would have rested the flat base of the support stand on a table or bench, allowing him to take careful aim. There are two indentations on the top of the stock. The smaller of these, to the front, is for the thumb of his right hand, while the rear indentation accommodated the fingers of his left hand. The gun could be suspended from the iron eyelet when not in use.
