De barak van Van Hooff van binnen. Op de stapelbedden liggen of zitten de gevangenen te lezen en te schrijven. De aquarel is gemaakt kort na de bevrijding van het kamp door de Russen. Op de achterkant staat: 'Denen weg. Alle voorraad op. Toch nog elk 1/3 Amerikaans pakket'. De Nederlanders konden nog niet naar huis wegens gebrek aan transportmiddelen.
