Kleine messing opzet(stang) of vizier, bestaande uit twee verticale stangen waartussen een vizier op en neer schuift. Aan een kant heeft de stang een schaal gaande van 4 tot 14. Het heeft een trapezevormige voet, waarmee het op de kernring bij de halsband werd gezet. Met een touw aan een ring werden het aan het affuit gebonden. Het vizier behoorde bij een 9 cm kanon.

Entry

Brass gun sight consisting of two vertical bars with a sliding sight in between. On one side the bars have a scale, going from 4 to 14. To the side is another scale going from 4 to 8. It has a trapezoid foot, which was inserted into the base ring.

The gun sight was for a long 15 cm old model (‘O.M.’) howitzer (‘Hw.’) and would have been attached to the carriage by means of a rope fastened to a ring.

This gun sight was found, together with a smaller one (NG-MC-1889-27-2), without a catalogue number. Both were identified by a process of elimination.
