inscription: ‘Caapsche Bloem en zaad van Waater Euntjes. Cabo 17 Julii 1786. De bollen kan men eeten de steel is wel een manslengte lang, de bloem en bladeren alleen zwemmen op 't water ieder aan een steel alleen, die onder aan een bol vast is, zyn klyn en groot na maate van de vettigheid van de grond waar zy staan. de slooten leggen vol van deeze bladeren en bloemen. aponogeton distachyum’
