Founded in Amsterdam in 1986, POLSPOTTEN is a design brand known for its bold, playful and unconventional approach to interiors. With a strong focus on craftmanship and innovation, POLSPOTTEN transforms everyday objects into statement pieces, blending tradition with a fresh, contemporary twist.
When two Dutch originals come together, something special takes flight. Rijksmuseum and POLSPOTTEN joined forces in October 2025 to reimagine heritage for today.
Inspired by the exhibition At home in the 17th Century, POLSPOTTEN shaped a dedicated limited collection by reinterpreting historical forms with unexpected colours, textures, and playful details. Tradition meets reinvention, craftsmanship meets fun, and every piece tells a story with a wink. The collection exists from mirror cups to bird vases and plates, coloured glassware and a special edition of the Drip Candle Holder. All created under the wings of POLSPOTTEN’s new creative soul, Shiran Gort, bringing a fresh perspective to meaningful, yet playful design.
The beauty of the 17th-century home lies in the small, crafted details. Seeing these details reinterpreted through design is a wonderful way to keep that history alive and relevant.
