Kajsa Ollongren will become the new Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Rijksmuseum with effect from 1 October 2026. She succeeds Alex Wynaendts, whose eight-year term is ending.

The Rijksmuseum is a place where art, history and society meet. Its collection connects generations and continually provides fresh perspectives on the past, the present and the future. I look forward to working together with the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board to contribute to the further development of the Rijksmuseum as the museum of, and for, the Netherlands.

Kajsa Ollongren

Kajsa brings with her a highly valuable combination of governance experience, commitment to society, and a vision of the role of cultural institutions. I look forward to working with her and further strengthening the national and international position of the Rijksmuseum as the museum of the Netherlands – a museum for all.
