Masterpieces of the Wallace Collection
Abstract
The Wallace Collection, a national museum in the heart of London, is home to an internationally outstanding collection of fine and decorative arts. A stroll around the Wallace Collection is a journey among masterpieces of arms and armour, French porcelain and furniture - mingling with artworks by Titian, Rembrandt, Hals and Velázquez. This beautifully illustrated book, with commentaries on more than 400 works of art, is an attractive introduction to the museum's treasures and the fascinating history of its Founders, the first four Marquesses of Hertford and Sir Richard Wallace.
