The birds are based on a popular engraving from the late 16th century, while the insects are taken from an illustrated book from the same period.

    Platte voet met omgeslagen rand. Balustervormige, holle stam met twee schijven. Vrijwel cilindrische, aan de onderzijde afgeronde kelk, waarop vogels, vlinders en insecten zijn gegraveerd op een ondergrond van planten en laag geboomte.
