Urania. Porcelain. Meissen, c. 1745 - 1750, the model by Johann Joachim Kändler. This figure belonged to the large ornamental mirror which Augustus III of Saxony presented to his son-in-law, Louis XV of France. The mirror and the console table belonging to it were taken to Paris in 1750 by Kändler himself. Given by the Commissie voor Fotoverkoop, 1964.

    Verguld bronzen voetstuk in Lodewijk XVI-stijl, behorend bij 'De muze Urania' van beschilderd Meissen porselein (BK-1964-21-A). Het voetstuk is ovaal en hol. Het bovenblad bevat drie gaten. Het middenstuk is concaaf en verbreedt zich naar onderen toe. Eén van de zijden is opengewerkt. Het voetstuk heeft vier ronde voeten, waarboven voluten, die aan beide kanten met een acanthusblad zijn versierd. De voeten zijn met cement aan het voetstuk bevestigd.
