Explanatory note

  • Het woord 'Welcome' was in gigantische letters aangebracht op een heuvel rond de stad ter gelegenheid van het bezoek van Edward, prins van Wales, in 1875-1876. Het is op de foto op de achtergrond te zien. Deze foto vormt samen met het gerelateerde object een panorama van de Tripoliabazaar in Jaipur.
