anonymous, Johann Seutter (I), c. 1575 - c. 1600

Mounts could be produced in the workshop where rockcrystal objects were made, but also on commission from a middleman elsewhere. This ount was made in the largest South German centre of production, Augsburg, probably ordered by a jeweller or silver dealer.

    Siervat van bergkristal in een montuur van verguld zilver. Het vat heeft de vorm van een gans. Het lichaam met deksel heeft een versiering van grotesken en ranken in mat slijpwerk.
