Two flower holders

De Grieksche A, c. 1690 - c. 1700

Flower holders like these examples are thought to have belonged to Mary Stuart, the consort of William III. An inventory of Queen Mary’s posessions at Honselaarsdijk Palace describes flower holders in the shape of children with baskets on their heads.
