Two baskets

De Grieksche A, c. 1758 - c. 1765

These baskets have exactly the same form; only their decoration differs. Yet they bear the marks of two different factories. This suggests that semi-finished products – coarse fired, unglazed and undecorated pieces – could be formed in one factory and decorated and fired for a second time in another.
