Two badges

anonymous, c. 1450 - c. 1499

The hunting motifs on the ornamental border suggest that these badges were from a militia company. One badge depicts a bishop flanked by Saint Barbara (on the left) and Saint Catherine (on the right). The other features the Virgin as the Lady of Seven Sorrows (pierced by swords), with Saint James and Saint Christopher on the left and right edges.
