Explanatory note

  • Deze prent maakt deel uit van een reeks van 4 prenten met decoratieve fantasiën. Voorheen werd deze reeks 'Capricci decorativi' genoemd. Thans wordt de titel 'Grotteschi' gebruikt. Van deze reeks zijn zes verschillende edities bekend die dateren tussen 1747 en ca. 1940 (Zie Robison 1986, p. 115).
