Tiger-Shaped Weight

This is a solid cast bronze tiger. The curled-up animal’s head is slightly raised. Its face and fur stripes are inlaid with silver and gold. These functional ornaments were once placed to the corners of woven mats to keep them even and taut while people sat on them.
