Three decorated jugs

attributed to De Roos, c. 1694 - c. 1712

Between 1705 and 1711, both the De Roos and the De Witte Ster pottery factories were in the hands of the same owners. There must have been a lively exchange of motifs and painters, for it is impossible to distinguish between the objects made in either factory during those years.

Description
Peervormige kan op een lage voet, met een smalle hals en oor. De kan is voorzien van een zilveren montuur en deksel en is voorzien van decoraties in onderglazuur blauw. Op de buik is een landschap met figuren afgebeeld. De schouders, de hals en het oor van de kan zijn versierd met bloemmotieven.
