When someone creates a map, they mentally navigate through the city or country. For his This way Brouwns, Stanley Brouwn asked random passers­by for directions in various cities and had them draw a route. By doing so, they became part of a work of art that explores how people image urban spaces in their minds. Brouwn signed the drawings with a stamp.
