This way Brouwn (Berlin)
Stanley Brouwn, 1964
When someone creates a map, they mentally navigate through the city or country. For his This way Brouwns, Stanley Brouwn asked random passersby for directions in various cities and had them draw a route. By doing so, they became part of a work of art that explores how people image urban spaces in their minds. Brouwn signed the drawings with a stamp.
