The intimate setting of this bedroom, adorned with flower garlands and refined pieces of furniture, seems ready to shelter the couple’s amorous rendez-vous. The woman is still holding a letter from her lover, which probably announced his arrival, while he is kneeling at her feet, consumed with desire. The Cupid in the painting above the bed is about to fire a love arrow at the couple.
