Suzuki Shonen (signed by artist), 1908

The calligraphic inscription describes the moment depicted in the painting: a mountain landscape in the summer rain, with the hills still clearly visible. The warm, damp countryside is monumentally set up, with rich shades of ink lending depth to the composition.

    Schildering in verschilende tonen inkt op papier van een berglandschap met een beekje, uitmondend in een waterpartij met vissersbootje. Op de oever staan drie huizen temidden van een boompartij. Langs de beek en op een berghelling zijn twee andere groepen huizen zichtbaar. Linksboven een calligrafie met signatuur en zegel. In houten doos.
