Chair. Softwood, veneered with marquetry of brass and tortoiseshell on a red ground. Paris, c. 1839, by Eugène-Paul Caillaux. The chair forms part of a set of furniture bought by King William II when Prince of Orange from the Hague dealer C.I. Enthoven. The arms of the Netherlands are mounted on the back. On loan from H.R.H. Princess Juliana of the Netherlands.
